I'm pretty new to facebook so learning about all the great applications is fun. It's a huge social networking community with so much to offer. One of the recent applications I learned about was the Pine-Sol Powerful Difference. Pine-Sol has been used in millions of homes everywhere so I had to read about this one.

Pine-Sols powerful difference program is pretty amazing. It awards dozens of grants to women leading the charge for change and helps provides tools, resources and inspiration to help and encourage others to start championing and creating change in their own communities.

The Powerful Difference application works like this. Just honor 5 women who have made a difference in your life. It will post the women you choose right on your wall for other's to see and to inspire them. Do you have someone you would like to honor? Here is a yummy recipe you can try for "most" everyones favorite holiday beverage...Egg Nog!!

12 pasteurized shell eggs
1 lb. confectioners’ sugar
½ teaspoon salt
¼ cup vanilla
4 cups evaporated milk
2 cups heavy cream

Serves: 10 - 12
Break eggs into large bowl. Beat eggs until light in color. Mix in confectioner’s sugar, salt and vanilla. Add evaporated milk. Blend with egg mixture for 30 seconds. If desired, add in 4 cups dark rum, brandy, bourbon or rye. Cover nog closely and let ripen in the refrigerator for 24 hours. Stir again and serve sprinkled with freshly grated nutmeg or other garnishes below.

And as always you can spice things up a bit this holiday season with these variations:

Maraschino Cherries
Cinnamon sticks
Orange Slices
Extracts or flavorings
Peppermint sticks or candy canes
Flavored brandy or liqueur
