Saving Little Hearts with Calender Giveaway Closed

THIS GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED. CONGRATULATIONS COMMENT #'S 9 The Smiths,23 Anonymous,2 Jackie, and 7 karenmed409.

So now you all know that my son was born with a congenital heart defect. If not click here to read my story. Well, some organizations are very dear to my heart. I actually just learned about one of these named Saving Little Hearts. Saving Little Hearts is dedicated to helping children with congenital heart defects and their families by providing emotional assistance and educational information primarily through the distribution of Care Packages. You know a child is born every 15 minutes with a congenital heart defect and about 40,000 children are born with one each year. So they make these amazing packages for children undergoing open heart surgery. These packages have useful items in them like long distance phone cards, disposable cameras, toys and coloring books, Ronnie the Raccoon, various heart defect literature for both children and parents, pens and journals, toiletries and other useful items. This is just amazing and so heartfelt. I encourage you to head on over to Saving Little Hearts where this is so much information there. You can head on over and learn more about this amazing site and even sponsor a care package if you would like. Watch a families face light up for a moment while they are going through such a hard time.

Hello and happy CHD Awareness week! I recently learned that CHD's kill more children than all forms of pediatric cancers combined. I would love this calendar since I am a 'heart Mom' and my son is having his Fontan next month.

Thank you for sharing this. My daughter had a Congenital Heart Defect as well.
Does it count that I added the Saving Little hearts button a while ago?
Read my recent blog about my daughter and CHD awareness.
