Tropicana Juicy Insiders! How Am I Spending My Juicy Rewards?

As I mentioned in the beginning of March I was chose to be a Tropicana Juicy Insider Ambassador. If you missed my initial post you should read it to learn about this awesome points program Tropicana has. I currently have 29 points in my Juicy Rewards account. I purchase once to twice a week Tropicana 50% Less Sugar and Calories and these cartons have 6 points on them. So I haven't really decided what I should get yet. There isn't much in my area as far as rewards so that disappoints me a little. I have nothing in a 10 mile radius from me so we will have to travel 2 hours to do something with our points. But Spring is here and bringing the kids somewhere new will be fun.

I could however use 4 of my points to get $10 off any purchase of $60 + Free Shipping at the Adidas Shop. We all could use a pair of shoes in our household so that may be an option here. Summer is around the corner...YAY..so maybe a pair of sandles for me. I'm ready to spend something on myself for once.

I did however donate 3 of my points to save 100 sq. ft. of rainforest. How amazing is that. 1 point donates 33 1/3 sq. ft of rainforest so anyone could do this. So if you have points you can also help rescue the rainforest with your juicy points.

We may also take a day trip one weekend and go towards Niagara and go to one of the 5 museums listed for the day. I think the kids would love going to the Herschell Carrousel Factory Museum or the Amherst Museum. The museums give me 2 for 1 admission with my points. And I only have to give one point to get that amazing deal. You really can't beat that. We will be doing one of these coming this Spring so keep an eye out for photos and posts.

This is just a few of the things I can spend my points on. So if you haven't signed up for Tropicana's Juicy Rewards yet you need to. Head on over to www.tropicana.com and register so you can start earning today!

DISCLAIMER: I wrote this review while participating in the Tropicana Juicy Insiders Ambassador program by Mom Central on behalf of Tropicana. I received 12 free Juicy Rewards points and a $50 Visa gift card to use in redemption of the points and to facilitate my review.

Party Planning With Betty Crocker And Giveaway!

We are on our way to planning a big 3rd birthday bash for our little girl. It's crazy that she is almost 3 already. I never fuss about birthdays to much. They tend to get me stressed out, so we invite family mainly and eat cake, play some games and just hang out with the birthday child..in this case it's Zoe. April 14th is the big day for her and Betty Crocker is helping us plan this year. Did you know that www.bettycrocker.com has all your planning needs for the birthdays? I love how easy the site is. Just put in who the party is for and their age and what their interests are. So in our case I put the party is for a girl, she is a kid and I put a magical party. It came up with several ideas we could have for a party. Zoe would love to have a sweet tea party. It's something she talks about daily with us. Mommy wanna have a tea party? It's a fun age right now. Once I clicked on the sweet tea party theme it came up with many ideas including how to make a purse cake which is adorable and seems simple enough.

We may be making this for her birthday! We will be making 2 though, one chocolate and one yellow. The party wouldn't be complete without all the fixings like ideas on the favors, decorations, food and more. It even tells me what to plan in advance before our tea party themed party.

Like making chocolate chip scones, to baking the cake one day in advance, to what to do the day of and even an hour before. It's a great party planning site that I'm glad I've learned about. It's simple, right in front of your face and gives you directions for everything. Betty Crocker is a family favorite of ours and has given us many treats throughout our years. I'm so glad the site is here for party planning needs to help with Zoe's special day. It's going to be a fun filled party for her. I will be updating once we have her party with all the fun we had with photos, videos and of course the birthday girl.

So with all of this, I have interviewed the birthday girl on her perfect party. I used the wonderful Flip Video Camera which takes crystal clear photos. Ready to see it? Check it out!

So next time your planning your party head on over to www.bettycrocker.com check out the more than 30 different party ideas like the Out Of This World Space Party, or how about a Magical Princess Party. Jean Straps Removeable Stirrups For Jeans Review & Giveaway!

Boot loving mamas have I found a solution for the ever so annoying jeans that ride up while your wearing your jeans tucked into your boots. You all know what I'm talking about. Isn't it annoying to have to stop, unzip your boots, adjust your jeans and tuck back into your boot? I know first hand since the last few weeks of wearing skinny jeans. Before, the skinny jeans my boot cut jeans were the ones tucked in. Guess how I always wore them though? My jeans tucked into my socks. That was my solution but still didn't work. Heck, I'm not going to lie. Here is a quick confession...I even tried tight rolling my jeans. Ugh, what a style mess that was in the 90's! Well, Jean Straps puts an end to that and keeps your jeans up. Here is a little bit about how Jean Straps started:

"Jean Straps was created by Tni Newhoff and Erin Tocalino, who found a practical solution to the challenge of wearing jeans tucked into boots. These clip-on removable stirrups minimize bunching and make pulling on your boots over your jeans a breeze."

I was sent a pair to review and I really like them. The simple garter clip was easy to attach and stayed attached all day. I didn't have to tuck my jeans in at all throughout the day. I tried these with skinny jeans, and boot cuts and both styles worked great. Boot cuts have the larger bottoms which do not look good tucked into boots normally as they do get scrunched constantly. With the Jean Straps attached it made putting these on so simple and no tucking in. This amazing accessory,is truly worth the $9.99 price tag because they work and I do not have to deal with the hassle of bunchy jean knees and thighs. Great invention ladies!!!

This is a photo of me in my jeans, with Jean Straps attached. These jeans had been wore for 10 hours to put them to the test. As you can see I'm only a little bunched in the knees but nothing major. I didn't adjust these and never have.

WIN IT: Jean Straps has graciously offered to give a pair of Jean Straps away to one of my readers.

Long Awaited Date Night!

Last night hubby and I finally went out. We haven't had a night out alone in over a year. That is kinda our fault as we do not really trust anyone but a few family members with our children, and we hate to have them watch them as we work all week and want to spend the time we do have with our kids. Well, last night I got a babysitter and we went out with a few friends. We had a blast. We went out to eat(I ate a huge plate of Chicken Alfredo) which is not part of my diet but was amazing and we attended the St. Pattys Day party which included a drag show. It was funny and so fun to see the guys we know dress up as women. Let me tell you they were some ugly women lol. I am not a drinker. My usual drink when I do have drinks is Captain and Diet. Well, last night I found my new love.

Cruzan Black Cherry Rum. This stuff is amazing. I mixed it with Sprite. It was like drinking black cherry soda. Delicious I must say. The night got pretty boring there, so we hopped in a cab and went to another location where I got shunned of anymore drinks. Let me say I was NOT drunk, a tiny bit buzzed yes, but drunk absolutely not. I went up to the bar after dancing away to a local band and asked for another drink. I turned to say something to my husband and my drink slid off a edge on the bar. I didn't realize it was there and the jerk of a bartender said to me, I'm cutting you off, your slurring your words so I can no longer serve you. I was pretty shocked and so was hubby and our friends. I was the sober one of the bunch as I do not drink a lot. I was pretty shocked so we left. We had a lot of fun with friends, dancing and having a few drinks. It was a night out we both needed and enjoyed. It's been way to long. We are going to try to go out now once a month as I think date night is something every couple needs.

Did you do anything fun this weekend?

Guest Post: MyHeritage.com Look-alike Meter

It may be somewhat early to decide who your child takes after, but most parents say they can see certain traits — Dad's eyes, Great-Aunt Patty's dimples — or an overall resemblance right away. Especially for the newborn first baby excitement can flare up discussions whom Junior resembles the most. Good we have technology to decide for us… ;-)

For parents out there, set this discussion straight once and for all with the free face recognition Baby Lookalike Metertool, by My Heritage, the family tree software maker.

Baby Lookalike Meter is a web based widget that uses face recognition technology to find facial traces in photographs uploaded to the application. To use it, simply upload front-facing photos of you, your spouse/partner, and your child. The Look-alike Meter's face scanning software will then get to work. In minutes you'll have your results and if you have a blog or a Facebook profile, you can show it to the world, make polls and create a friendly and fun debate among your friends and blog readers.

MyHeritage: Look-alike Meter - Black and white photographs - Family tree layout

I had a lot of fun using the look-alike meter. Gavyn looked like daddy from the day he was born. Zoe on the other hand is a mixture. It was easy to use where I just uploaded a photo to their site and the site crops out the faces and told me who my kids looked like. I am proud to say my angel Zoe looks more like mama by 3%. Not a big number I know but she still looks like me more :)

MyHeritage: Family tree - Genealogy - Celebrity - Collage - Morph

Now Gavyn on the other hand will and has always looked like dad. He beat me out by 11%. It's a fun application. Try it out and see who your child looks like.

Wordless Wednesday- In Memory Of Layla Grace

I came home from work tonight to log in to twitter to see the worst tweet from precious Layla Grace's family. She was 2-years-old and passed from Neuroblastoma. The tweet read: Layla went to play with the angels early this morning. Rest in peace precious Layla. 11/26/2007 - 3/9/2010

My heart just broke and I shed some tears. It just breaks my heart. She is now in heaven, out of pain. God has definitely gained a sweet angel today. Rest In Peace sweet baby girl. You will be in my heart and thoughts forever. I have lit a candle for you tonight. My thoughts go out to her parents and sisters tonight. www.laylagrace.org

Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter Review!

Zoe has recently just started to love Mickey Mouse. She asks to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse several times a day so when I was asked by www.mickeymousecookiecutters.com to review a Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter I just had to. I may not enjoy baking like I should but I do it. I just hate all the prep and clean up that goes with it. Cookie cutters are a must in any household though. Whether it's for cookies, pancakes, or just playing with Play-Doh you can't have too many.

Here is a little bit about www.mickeymousecookiecutters.com:

"Welcome to the largest selection of Mickey and Minnie Mouse cookie cutters online. We have searched the US and both Disney parks to produce a one stop shop for all the Mickey Mouse and cookie cutter fanatics around the world. Browse our site to check out some of the best Disney, Mickey, and Minnie Mouse cookie cutters. "

The Mickey Mouse Cookie Cutter is definitely a very high quality cutter and will hold up for years. We will use it often! This is an official licensed Disney Mickey Mouse cookie cutter, about 5inches in diameter. I haven't had enough time yet but we will be making Mickey cookies soon. How much fun could you have making some sugar cookies and than having the kids make their Mickeys? Or how about something fun for a birthday party. You could have the cookies already done and ready to be decorated but the children. They even sell the black food coloring for this.

We did have time to do some fun chocolate chip cookies and cut out Mickey. Both kids really enjoyed this and thought it was neat that the cookie stayed looking like Mickey. I will be doing pancakes this weekend with it. This cookie cutter is only $5.85 which is very affordable. If you don't want one that is so big like I reviewed you can also purchase a small Mickey Mouse cookie cutter and a mini Mickey Mouse cookie cutter.

Zoe has already browsed around with me and has TOLD me to get the Mickey and Minnie Mouse cookie cutter set. So that is on my list next. They also ship internationally. Have a look. If you have a fanatic like me this site is definitely the right place to purchase your cookie cutters.

DISCLAIMER: This is a review based on my opinions only. Your opinion may differ. I was not compensated in any way for this post. I was sent a Mickey Mouse cookie cutter for my honest opinions.
