Potty training time is here finally! Zoe showed many signs when she turned two and was actually going on the potty quite often. She then regressed and refused to go. I didn't force her to go as I learned from my first. We pushed the situation on Gavyn and it back fired. He would literally sit on the potty forever without going and then would go out side, pull his undies to the side and poop right in the grass, driveway or wherever it may be. Anywhere but the potty! So when asked to review a potty training kit from
Potty Tots I jumped at the chance.
"The mission of Potty Tots is to provide creative, fun and safe products and programs that are child centered and designed to build self-esteem, confidence and independence. The Potty Tots goal is to provide our customers, suppliers and employees an experience and environment that is always focused on what is best for children through our products and our actions in our business and in the world community."Potty Tots sent us a girl
potty training kit for Zoe to try out.

Inside this kit was, a story/guide book, an animated DVD -featuring three original Potty Tots songs and 2 bonus music videos, one 11"X17" Illustrated potty chart which easily wipes clean with damp cloth, one 11"X17" Toilet Bowl" progress/reward game with clings and again easily wipes clean with damp cloth. She was extremely excited when it arrived. Not only was it for her but she received a letter personalized just for her with it. First, we put in the DVD which is a lot of fun. The story book and the DVD go hand in hand. We sat down and looked at the book while watching the DVD. The story is about two little girls Emily and her little sister, Lilly, who doesn't know how to go potty. When Lilly heads off to her first day of preschool, Emily comforts her by sharing a story of her experience in Miss Maggie's preschool class. It was potty time and Emily was scared as she didn't know how to go. But with the help of the illustrated potty chart and her friends, the Potty Tots, Emily learns the six steps to using the potty. Along the way, she makes new friends, learns the Potty Song and discovers that learning something new can be fun. It's a cute story that your child will truly enjoy and so will you. Zoe's favorite Potty Tot is Ally. There is a part in the story where Ally says, "don't forget to wipe from front to back!" Zoe giggles hysterically everytime. Plus she loves her blue dress with the heart on it. Now of course the Potty Tots Rock song is adorable, catchy and your child will jam to it. Zoe walks around now saying I can go to the potty now and I can do it all by myself!
So next we put the charts on the wall in the bathroom for her to easily read and reference to.

The potty chart is a huge help and Zoe actually walks in points to each illustration and then does exactly as it says and of course all by herself. She will then move her little girl cling on forward one space on the chart everytime she goes. I'm going to completely honest with you here. Zoe was not going potty before we received this kit.

Now 95% of the time she is dry, yells she has to go potty, goes straight in and goes. This kit truly has made an impact and has been so much help. She wants to read the book daily, watch the DVD several times a day and even just play with the charts. It's fun for her. It's not boring one bit and made just for toddlers.
You can also check out all the fun activities at
www.pottytots.com. You get to meet the potty tots themselves, and the real potty tots who make the voices of the potty tots on the DVD. Read the story it will make you smile. She is almost there and I'm so proud of her. I cannot thank Potty Tots enough for providing a fun interactive website and kit for my child. This has made her want to use the potty and has made me smile every step of the way without stressing out!
